For the sake of our air, water, climate and communities - the Astoria NRG plant must be stopped.

Our New Governor, Kathy Hochul and her Department of Environmental Conservation have the authority to stop this polluting proposal, but it will take our collective action to convince her to side with the people, science, and public health, over the interests of rich and powerful fossil fuel corporations.

Join us for the official public hearings about the Astoria NRG fracked gas plant on Tuesday August 24th and Thursday August 26th to testify against the plant. It’s critical that we flood the hearing and the public comments with testimonies against the plant, so Governor Hochul knows that her only viable option is to deny the project.

There are 4 virtual hearings you can attend. It’s crucial that everyone registers to testify, not just policy experts. It’s everyone’s air and everyone’s future. We all must use our voice.
