Abolish the Electoral College
Skip to FormEvery person should have equal say in who the President is, but they don’t. Because of the archaic Electoral College, states with lower populations have de facto greater representation (mostly due to the Senate, but we’ll not get into that right now.)
In practice, that weights the votes of white voters over voters of color, simply because of the demographics of the lower population states in this country. That’s institutionalized racial injustice, and it shapes the very top of our government.
But that’s not the way things have to be. We can have a “one person, one vote” system — if we abolish the electoral college. If you want real democracy in America, sign your name here:
